We invite teens from Ukraine living in Poland to work together to design solutions that will help your peers find their educational or professional path. During the two-day Hackathon, 7 teams will work on a digital solution to help young people from Ukraine find their path, career or educational, after high school. You will be supported by experts from the IT sector.

You don’t have to code to participate in the event.

Katalyst Education

Who can join?
We invite young people from Ukraine aged 15-17 who live in Poland. They don’t need to have expert knowledge or coding experience. What matters is their commitment and willingness to learn about the realities of working in the IT sector.

What’s the challenge?
Teams that will participate in our Hackathon will face the following challenge: Design an interactive tool or service to help Ukrainian youth find their educational or career path after high school.

What language will be used?
Hackathon will be held in 3 languages: Ukrainian, Polish and English.
The organizer will provide translator support.

Where’s the event?
Hackathon will be held in Warsaw.
The organizer provides accommodation on October 17-20, 2025 and reimbursement of transportation costs for participants from other cities and their chaperones.

When’s the event?
18-19 October 2025.

What can you gain?

Work with IT industry experts

For two days, participants will work with IT industry experts, learning the principles of digital tool development.

Certificate

All Hackathon participants will receive a certificate acknowledging their participation in the event.

Mentoring meetings

The Hackathon is not just a one-time event, but the beginning of a mentoring process. All participants will have the opportunity to attend meetings with mentors.

Recruitment results

We will automatically send confirmation of receipt of your application to the email address you provided at the time of enrollment. You will receive information about the results of recruitment no later than September 10, 2025.

After the Hackathon you will get a chance to participate in mentoring meetings – you will be able to develop your ideas under the guidance of specialists and practitioners.

The event is implemented by the SOK Foundation in partnership with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and with the support of the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM).
